I decided to become a dentist when I was about 13 years old. I needed braces. My teeth were crooked and I didn’t like them. And so I went to the orthodontist and went through braces and after I was over with, my teeth were nice and straight and I really liked what I saw. And I really had a good dentist. He was very caring and helpful to me. And that made me want to do the same, I wanna make other people feel the same way I felt. My dad was a physician, so I didn’t wanna go that route, but I wanna do something to help people. And when I went through ortho and I felt better about myself, I wanted to make other people feel the same way. I think the most rewarding aspect about dentistry is making people happy. I wanted to make other people feel the way I felt after I went through my braces and felt more confident about myself and was able to smile. So I want other people to feel that way. And the friendships you make through the years with your patients, that’s very rewarding to me. I mean, it’s more like a family as opposed to just your clients. We can see that throughout the whole office here that we all treat our patients as family members.

A graduate of the University of Florida School of Dentistry, Dr. Huaman is also a member of several dental organizations, including:

- Florida Dental Association
- Clay County Dental Association
A graduate of the Spear Dental Academy, he also served as a faculty member. He graduated from the Pikos Institute, a learning center for the latest techniques in dental implant surgery. He also completed the Alabama Implant Education (comprehensive implant residency program) between 2019-2020.
One of very few dentists in the nation accredited to provide LANAP® treatments for gum disease. Dr. Huaman regularly performs these procedures and many others to help patients reach a better state of health and happiness.
In his free time, Dr. Huaman enjoys going to rock concerts, often traveling to see bands out of state. Ask him to play some of his favorite music for you during your appointment! He is also a big sports fan – mostly football, but he plays golf in his spare time and is passionate about the Florida Gators.
